Data sharing strengthens information efforts
The primary purpose of the solution is to strengthen the exchange and display of information across the field. Therefore, the solution was developed with a focus on sharing data. Data distribution is handled via a structured API. This allows the subscribers to collect and display data about the attractions and activities in their local front end.
Infrastructure and indexing provide oversight
There is a vast variety in the content on the database, which covers everything from historical sites in nature to amusement parks in Copenhagen. Therefore, the solution must be able to handle the differences in data and the need for continuous scalability. The thousands of products can be updated and indexed following the structure, which is adapted to the needs of different categories.
Data quality is a priority
The solution maintains many local editor texts, images, and dates in one central place. The solution is developed with a focus on assuring the quality of data, in order to ensure quality and uniform content. For example, there are built-in functions that provide an overview of possible shortcomings, along with automatically removing events, when they are no longer available.
Close collaboration creates stronger solutions
The GuideDanmark database is the result of a close and many-year-long collaboration between Combine and VisitDenmark. Through continuous dialogue and cooperation, we have found a good solution to handle the needs that may emerge over time.
